Dennis Elliott E2251 Wall Sculpture Bigleaf Maple Burl, turned, carved & burned 31" high 40" wide 3" deep With this latest series of wall pieces I have tried to literally shift the focus from the center to the outer areas by including much more detail than I have in the past. While the radial carved lines still direct focus to the center, the segmented sections in between draw you back out to the outer area to inspect the somewhat elaborate detail going on there. It's nice to see people walk up and are immediately drawn to the center area and then notice what's happening to the outside of that area and I am glad to see this happen as I spend so much more time here than on the turned center.
